Medical Negligence Claims
Medical negligence or malpractice is when the treatment provided to you by your doctor, your hospital, your dentist or your pharmacist, falls below the standard of treatment that most doctors would have provided. If your doctor’s treatment can be said to be negligent then potentially you have a claim, but only if that negligent treatment caused you injury and damage which would not ordinarily have occurred.
It is of course important to appreciate that not all medical treatment that leads to unexpected complications is negligent treatment. For example a complication that is the result of a simple error, mistake or treatment that simply did not work is not necessarily negligent treatment. On the other hand complications that were unexpected but which have been explained away in medical terms may in fact be the result of negligent treatment. Medical negligence is a complex area and Bradford & Co are well positioned and experienced in helping to investigate your medical outcomes and advising on whether your poor treatment outcome was the result of negligence. We guide you through the complex world of medical negligence claims.
